It comes packaged in a <em>self-injectable <\/em>form. This means that a woman can self-administer the contraceptive herself and from the comfort of her own home, rather than traveling to a health clinic.<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-e5c033b4-aef5-474c-babb-7b6ad3f0da2a\" class=\"block-editor-block-list__block wp-block rich-text block-editor-rich-text__editable wp-block\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"textbox\" aria-label=\"Paragraph block\" aria-multiline=\"true\" data-block=\"e5c033b4-aef5-474c-babb-7b6ad3f0da2a\" data-type=\"core\/paragraph\" data-title=\"Paragraph\">The pilot to scale up the distribution of self-injection contraceptive-DMPA &#8211; SC is being implemented in Mpika district of Muchinga province for three (3) months and will be scaled up to the other six priority rural provinces.\u00a0 The pilot phase of the project was launched on November 4, 2020 at Crumach Lodge in Mpika District by the District Commissioner Mr. Sampa Muswema. Among the invited stakeholders, Provincial Nursing Officer \u2013 Muchinga Province and the Mpika District Health Director . In his remarks the DC shared how family planning was no there to reduce populations but to help families plan and live better lives<\/p>\n<p id=\"block-a5ea3672-1c56-4590-924a-f8143fb7a78f\" class=\"block-editor-block-list__block wp-block rich-text block-editor-rich-text__editable wp-block\" style=\"text-align: justify;\" tabindex=\"0\" role=\"textbox\" aria-label=\"Paragraph block\" aria-multiline=\"true\" data-block=\"a5ea3672-1c56-4590-924a-f8143fb7a78f\" data-type=\"core\/paragraph\" data-title=\"Paragraph\">SIHI also shared how the pilot phase was to be implemented.
